Opening of the Event and SpeakersThe first part of the "Scientific Talks" event organised by the Near East University Faculty of Nursing was held under the title of "Meetings on the Path of Nursing". Faculty members, nurses and students of the university came together at the event. The dean of the faculty and the chairman of the scientific activity commission made opening speeches and talked about the importance of being together with valuable colleagues and guests.
• Professional Experiences and Advice to Students
One of the guests of the event, a psychiatric nurse, shared her professional experiences and gave information about the difficulties and successes encountered in the field of nursing. She also advised students and young colleagues to discover their potential and to do their profession with love.
• Importance of Nursing and Role Models In the event, the critical role of nursing in public health was emphasised and the importance of experienced professionals who can be role models for young nurse candidates was emphasised. The speakers emphasised the importance of professional development and ethical values in nursing practice.
• Self-recognition and Professional Development
The event also emphasised that it is important for nurses to know themselves well and understand their own needs in order to be more effective during patient care. In this context, the importance of professional development and continuous learning was emphasised and young nurses were advised to take these principles into consideration as they progress in their careers.
• Empathy and Patient Care
The speakers emphasised the importance of empathy in the nursing profession and stated the importance of being sensitive and understanding in communication with patients. In addition, it was emphasised that the compassion and care shown by nurses during patient care can have a positive effect on the healing process of patients.

Understanding that nursing is not only about technical knowledge and skills, but also personal development and self-knowledge have an important place in this profession.

3. Professional Values and Ethics: Learning the basic values and ethical principles of the nursing profession. Understanding the importance of protecting the privacy of patients and respectful approach to them.
4. Self Awareness and Reflection: Recognising own feelings and thoughts and understanding how these feelings and thoughts affect professional practices. Gaining the ability to learn from professional experiences and use these experiences for personal and professional development.
5. Motivation and Inspiration: Learning ways to maintain motivation and inspiration in the face of challenges encountered in the nursing profession. Being inspired by colleagues and experienced professionals and maintaining motivation in line with career goals.
